This is where I'll write the rules for the board.
-Disclaimer- you probably noticed that there are a lot of threads for you to look at in this section. Don't worry! Most of them have only one post and those posts are actually really short.
Now back to the rules.
1. Read these rules!
Good job
2. Think of me as a GM (Game master)
I'm here to make sure that the story progresses, that there's always some cool plot to put in motion, that things run smoothly, and most importantly, make sure that everyone's having fun.
3. Read over rules for applying.
4. Make a character suitable for this roleplay.
5. Make absolute sure to follow the last rule in this post to a T!
6. Wait to be accepted by a staff member before playing the character
7. Respect your GM and staff
8. Respect your fellow roleplayers
9. No powerplaying, godmodding, or metagaming
PowerPlaying: invincible guys/girls who are 'totally awesome' and invincible and who can never get hit but always have their hits land.
Godmodding:
Dictating that your character's hit automatically lands. This is a form of controlling someone else's character. don't do that.
Meta-gaming:
Using knowledge you know OOC, but your character IC doesn't.
This means their names, past, habits, sex orientation WHATEVER without having it revealed to your character by another character. The only exceptions here are appearances and (in most cases) gender.
9.5- Other terms to know:
IC means In character and OOC means out of character.
10. Please, if you need to say something OOC in a IC post use brackettes of some sort. (( {{ [[ ]] }} ))
11. We use full, proper sentences on this board.
That means no chat/leet speak, none of these * - ~ to denote actions, and we use these " to tell when someone is talking.
---- If you do not use quotation marks, I'm going to assume they thought it.
12. When you decide to begin an adventure with your character, be sure to let me know so I can post what you'll find.
13. No IC death is allowed without there first being a discussion between all that are involved, and express permission given to the player of the source of death by the player of the character to die.
There is an exception to this rule. The exceptions are that if you enter your character into an exploration zone or war, and they do something stupid that will obviously have a high chance of killing them.
In these cases, you will be contacted by a staff member and told that your character is acting stupid and will get themselves killed if they continue this course of action.
If the warning goes unheeded, we the staff, will concider yourcharacters life forfeit. We will then have every right to kill or maim your character as we see fit. And if your character is dead, you obviously can't play them anymore. Unless under special circumstances that can only be granted by me.
14. As far as word count goes...keep it above three sentences, and you're good.
15. Read the rules again.
Read them often, in case I have changed them without warning- because I reserve the right to do that.
(Even though I try not to)
16.. Highlight this area.
This secret code must be included in your character profile.
The code starts with ABC123
The middle is your character's age and the first letter of their last name.
The end is 1251992.
